Libertyville office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago stocks shelves in St. Joseph’s Pantry during annual community kindness event through June 22

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago is pleased to announce that the Libertyville office will be stocking the shelves of the St. Joseph Food Pantry again this year during the company’s annual Community Kindness event. During Community Kindness, held in conjunction with the company’s Kindness Foundation, each of the company’s 25 offices selects local organizations to support. This year, from May 26 through June 22, the Libertyville office will be collecting non-perishable food items and merchandise to stock the shelves of the St. Joseph Food Pantry, a supermarket-style food pantry serving the Libertyville area. Public donations are welcome and encouraged. Simply drop off your donations at the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago office located at 100 N. Milwaukee in Libertyville Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The collection will be delivered to Saint-Joseph on June 23.

Luke Mutter, Chief Broker for the Libertyville office, said, “Our Libertyville office helped the St. Joseph Food Pantry last year and really wanted to help them again this year during Community Kindness. We love the opportunity to give back to the community we serve and, after all, helping people with such a basic need as food is just as important as helping them find shelter – something else we love to do Our agents reached out to their clients, friends and family for making this collection especially robust for St. Joseph. If you are able to help, that would be wonderful and thank you very much. Donations of any size are gratefully accepted.

Items most needed in St. Joseph include: canned goods, pasta, pasta sauce, vegetable oil, thick soups, Ramen noodles, cookies, diapers and wipes, all hygiene products , paper towels, potatoes, fruit, diced tomatoes and refried beans.

Libertyville officers also plan to help St. Joseph’s by volunteering time to unload deliveries, sort donations and stock shelves.

The Kindness Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago. A 501(c)(3) charitable organization, their mission is to support meaningful local initiatives that improve the communities served by the company and improve the quality of life of their fellow citizens.
